Born and brought up in the Scottish Highlands, and educated to post graduate level. Spent 14 years as a Buying and Commercial Director in 6 different countries, having visited over 50 countries I have developed an admiration for different cultures and ways of life.
My wife our 3 children, decided it was time to return home to the Scottish Highlands and follow our hearts. We have made our home in Nairn, close to Inverness airport, and Whisky Distilleries, Culloden, Castles, Standing Stones, Golf Courses, gorgeous beaches and the most amazing scenery.
I gained my Scottish Tourist Guide Association (STGA) Green badge at The University of the Highlands & Islands and have full indemnity insurance as well as an Emergency First Aid Training certificate.
I am passionate about the Scottish Highlands, and would love to show you the best of the area, share some stories, explain the history and help to make your trip a fun, interesting, memorable one. If you are looking for a private tour of the Scottish Highlands, then please contact me to be your tour guide.
The Scottish Highlands are almost as big as Maryland and Belgium, with many options of where to go. I will tailor the private tour to your needs, desires and interests. Castles, whisky, golf, vast landscapes, Battlefields, history, legends, the options are endless, the feeling mystical!
I specialise in small groups of up to 6, as I want the private tour to be a personal, fun and informative vacation. If you want true Scottish warmth, with passion and a down to earth feeling then I am your man to be your tour guide for the Scottish Highlands.

I would be remiss to not give praise where a public recommendation is due. If you are planning a trip to Inverness, or the Highlands, I would encourage you to augment your trip by hiring the upbeat Matthew Tett for one of his tours. Our group took his two hour information-filled Inverness Walking Tour. Matthew is a skilled story teller/fact knower, and as you can see in my photos (on my personal Facebook page), he is the proud owner of a stockpile of charisma and passion! My daughter pointed out that she appreciated how he took care to engage with every person in our group, encouraged questions, and had the ability to make his audience feel comfortable. Last, but not least, he’ll make you laugh! He has a sharp wit, a great sense of humor! Matthew, I believe, will truly make your holiday/vacation, much more memorable.
I would like to tailor the tours to suit you and your groups desires and based on my training and experience, so that together we make a tour that gives a lasting positive memory. Member of STGA , www.stga.co.uk
